These terms apply to the game, online rooms, browser shortcuts and content at airhockey.plyyard.com, provided and maintained by Ply Yard.

Data handling and clearing are described separately in the privacy policy.

Service and game rules

The site offers free browser air hockey against AI, with two players on one device, or online on separate devices. No download or sign-up is required. It is for entertainment and practice, not account rankings, prize tournaments or skill-based matchmaking.

Each mallet stays in its own half. A puck in the opposite goal scores one point, and first to the selected target wins. This game's scoring, half-table limits and automatic serves are explained in the homepage rules; they do not replace the rules of physical tables, venues or tournaments. If the game differs from the explanation, report the issue.

AI difficulty is an opponent setting, not a player ability rating or a guarantee of learning or competitive results. Playing tips apply to this table; they do not guarantee the same outcome for every shot.

Permitted use and content rights

You may use the site normally for personal practice, family entertainment or teaching, and share public page links and match invites. Free access is not permission to copy the whole site, redistribute assets or offer a service in the site's name.

Rights in original text, page design, branding, images and code belong to the creator or the relevant rights holder, subject to any applicable licenses. These terms do not make traditional air hockey rules proprietary. Check the relevant license before copying, mirroring or redistributing content. Where no license permits your intended use, contact the creator first.

Do not

  • Impersonate another player, misuse reconnection tokens or use viewer connections to disrupt play.
  • Bypass room permissions, capacity, creation-rate limits or other security controls.
  • Create rooms in bulk automatically, deliberately occupy rooms abusively or send requests beyond normal game use.
  • Access server data without authorization, exploit vulnerabilities to attack the service or submit malicious content.
  • Use the site for unlawful activity or impersonate the site or studio to publish misleading information.
  • Submit attachments you are not entitled to share or unnecessary private information about others.

Report security issues privately through the feedback contact. Do not test someone else's room or publish exploitable details to verify a report.

Room invites and seat credentials

Other visitors may join or watch public rooms. Each browser is limited to one public room at a time. Private rooms are unlisted but do not verify invitees' identities. Anyone who obtains the room URL or code may still enter; do not assume "private" means only a named friend can access it.

Room codes, invites, seat reconnection tokens and host credentials have different purposes. Share invites only with intended participants, check links before sending, and do not forward reconnection URLs containing an st seat parameter. Hide access credentials in public posts, livestreams, screenshots and feedback attachments too.

If the same seat reconnects successfully in another page, the original connection may be replaced. Keeping credentials does not guarantee a room remains available indefinitely, that a seat can always be restored or that the entire match log can be recovered.

Leaving does not automatically forfeit. Back to lobby disconnects your browser without closing the room. When the host closes a room or it expires, current connections and old invites stop working. Use the room's close control when you want to end it, rather than only closing a tab.

Records and external services

Scores, hits, time and goal logs can be viewed and copied from the current page; they are not permanent match records. Refreshing AI or Two-Player clears the game, and a new game clears its log. There is no shot-by-shot replay, and a text record cannot return play to an earlier goal.

Online rooms temporarily store game state and seat information. Room closure or expiry, cleared credentials, device changes or network faults may prevent a match from continuing. Copy results or save screenshots before leaving if you want to keep them.

Adding the site to your Home Screen or Dock does not guarantee offline play or add saves. Hosting, online play and email depend on their service providers. External sites have their own terms; this site's data handling is described in the privacy policy.

Availability and limits of liability

We work to maintain the service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free use or compatibility with every device and network. Physics, AI behavior, interface, room capacity and expiry periods may change for fixes, maintenance or security. Existing rooms may not remain usable.

To address faults, security risks or prohibited behavior, the site may take proportionate measures such as refusing requests, limiting connections, closing affected rooms or suspending features. If you have a question about a restriction, send the page, time and circumstances through the feedback contact.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is not liable for indirect losses arising from interruptions, data loss, network or device faults, or room closure. These terms do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affect rights that applicable law requires us to protect.

Updates and contact

Material changes to the service or these terms will be reflected in this page and its update date. Revised terms apply to access and use after publication; any additional notice required by applicable law will be handled accordingly.

For questions about terms, content permissions or restrictions, email contact@plyyard.com with the site domain, relevant clause, page and circumstances. Passwords, identity documents and full room credentials are not needed.

Before playing or inviting

  1. Check the point target and scoring rules.
  2. Send invites without seat tokens only to intended participants.
  3. Keep any results you need, and close your room when finished.

Game results are not formal competitive assessments, and temporary rooms are not permanent match saves.
